Volunteers who care - St John Ambulance (Vic)
St John Volunteers attend over 7000 public events per year, and are ready to respond to an array of emergency situations such as bushfire and other disasters, by providing First Aid to those in need. People of all ages can be involved with St John and become a volunteer. This doesn’t necessarily mean you need to be involved with First Aid Services; there are many other programs such as ‘Friends for Older People’ that also service the community.

Working with Children (WWC) Check
If you work or volunteer with children you may need to apply for a Working with Children (WWC) Check. Employers, volunteer organisations and agencies must ensure that any of their staff or volunteers who need a WWC Check have applied by the due date. The WWC Check helps to keep children safe by preventing those who pose a risk to the safety of children from working with them, in either paid or volunteer work.
